In Memory of Helga and Susan - Oak Tree Planting
When
08 May 2010
12:00 PM
Location
Scanlon Creek Conservation Area, Bradford Ontario - Large signs on Simcoe County Road 4 (formerly Highway 11/Yonge Street) direct traffic to the main gate on Concession Road 9 east of the Highway.
Thanks to the wonderful generosity of Helga and Susan’s family and friends we raised $850.00 in their memory.
Ruth Coursey has arranged to have an Oak Tree planted at Scanlon Conservation Area on May 8 of this year.
There will be a plaque on the tree in memory of Helga and Susan. The dedication plaque will read:
In Memory of Helga and Susan
Love should be a tree whose roots are deep in the earth,
But whose branches extend TO FRIENDS.
From Ruth and Maggie
Please forward to others that attended our memorial.
Directions :

A pavilion will be provided at the site
to protect guests from the weather.
Please plan to arrive early so we can all be
present to honour our dear friends.
Please plan your own noon day meal if you wish to stay longer and enjoy the park. In case of inclement weather Ruth has arranged the use of a Pavilion free of charge, so that will be comfortable for us.

See you all soon Maggie
Entering Scanlon Creek Conservation Area from the main driveway on the 9th Line (east of Yonge Street), you drive just past the gatehouse. Immediately to the left past the gatehouse is a sign that says "Prof. E. A. Smith
Natural Resources Educational Centre". When facing that sign, the tree will be placed just to the left in the cut-grass area, along with the plaque, and soil and mulch for your dedication ceremony.
