What are the benefits of being a WRIB member?
As a member of WRIB, you will receive information about upcoming events, access to our website's members-only section, pro-rated admissions to many of our social events, information sessions and business networking sessions, and the opportunity to meet and be part of a dynamic, diverse and fun group of women.
When you join WRIB, you are welcomed into an outstanding group of women of all ages, from all walks of life, ethnic backgrounds and occupations. Membership in WRIB is open to all lesbian, bisexual, transgendered and transsexual women over the age of 19, without regard to race, colour, religion, national origin, ability, physical appearance or age.
What are the types of membership available, and how much does it cost?
WRIB offers two types of membership:
- Single for the individual person @ $36/year (if paying online*) or $35/year (if paying by cheque or cash).
- Corporate for the business entity @ $155/year (if paying online*) or $150/year (if paying by cheque or cash).
*The extra amounts in the online fee is due to a 3% transactional charge by PayPal.
Most of our members have joined with single memberships. This includes:
- One vote at the WRIB Annual General Meeting.
- Registration of one e-mail address, which will receive the WRIB e-newsletter, and any other WRIB e-communication.
- Registration at member's rates for each WRIB event.
- Member's rate of $60/year for a listing on WRIB's online business directory.
Corporate memberships are available to corporations and include:
- One vote at the WRIB Annual General Meeting.
- Registration of up to five people, with unique e-mail addresses registered at the same company. These five e-mail addresses will receive the WRIB e-newsletter, and any other WRIB e-communication.
- Registration of up to five guests at member's rates for each WRIB event.
- One free listing on WRIB's online business directory.
How do I join?
If you would like to sign-up for our Single Membership, you can do this online immediately by
clicking here. If you would like to mail us a cheque instead, then
download the membership form here, fill it in, and send it in together with your cheque. Mail the membership form and the cheque to the address below.
If you would like to sign-up for our Corporate Membership, please send an e-mail to
wrib.ca@gmail.com.
I am a member. How do I renew my membership?
When your membership is up for renewal, we will send you two email reminders: the 1st reminder is sent one month prior, and the 2nd reminder is sent two days prior to your membership expiring.
To renew your membership, you will need to log in.
If you have never logged in on the Website, just click on the "Forgot password" link and provide your email address. Follow the instructions on the webpage, and in the email sent to you to get a password.
Once you are logged in, click on the "View Profile" link that is just under your name. From here, you can click on the "Renew until..." button to renew your membership via Paypal.
If you would rather send us a cheque, you can also do this. Just stop when you get to the Paypal page. You have to make sure that you get to the Paypal page though as this will inform us of your intention to renew your membership. We will look out for your cheque in the mail. Make the cheque out to "WRIB" and send it to:
